Makino Tsukushi is the poorest student at Eitoku Gakuen, a high school notorious for catering to the rich and privileged youth in Tokyo. The wealthiest of all are a group of third year boys from the most powerful families in Japan, known as 'F4' (Mimasaka Akira, Nishikado Soujiro, Hanazawa Rui, and Doumyouji Tsukasa), who more or less run the school through power and intimidation. Tsukushi is determined to keep her head down and graduate quietly, but when her new friend is bullied and she stands up to F4, she becomes the target of the leader, Domyoji. While she fights back, declaring war on F4 and simultaneously developing a crush on the reluctantly helpful Rui, Domyoji suddenly finds his feelings towards her changing drastically as well.

The new transfer student at Osaka Gakuen, Ashiya Mizuki, is more than he appears to be -- mainly because he is a she. Disguised as a boy to attend the all male boarding school in her native Japan, Mizuki's primary goal is to encourage her Idol, Sano Izumi, a former high jump champion, to resume his sport.

Go Mi Nyu is a young nun in training, looking forward to her upcoming trip to Rome, where she will officially join the church. It seems fate has other plans, however, and Mi Nyu receives news her twin brother Mi Nam has finally achieved his lifelong dream of being a famous singer in the famous pop group A.N.Jell, with mega superstars Jeremy, Shin Woo, and Tae Kyung. Unfortunately, as her brother's manager informs her, Mi Nam is unable to debut due to needing time to recover from an 'accident'. He makes a request of Mi Nyu that will change her life: that she pose as her brother. Not only does ‘Go Mi Nam’ struggle to hide her true identity from everyone, including her all too perceptive band mates, she has to learn to handle the life of a pop idol -- which, as she soon learns, isn't all it's cracked up to be.

When a painfully introverted new girl by the name of Kotani Nobuko transfers into their class, the unexpected team of Shuuji and Akira dub her 'Nobuta', suddenly deciding to take hold of their youth and secretly 'produce' her into the most popular girl in school. The result is the efforts of these three unlikely friends as they begin to learn the difference between popularity and truly having someone to count on.

Makino Tsukushi has not spoken to Doumyouji Tsukasa in almost a year. Since he went to New York, correspondence between them has gone from rare to nonexistent. With the encouragement of the rest of F4, Makino decides to take the trip to America to meet with him -- and finally know once and for all where they stand. Meet him she does, but he appears to be a completely different person. Despite F4's attempts to reason with him, Doumyouji stubbornly insists he and Makino Tsukushi have nothing to do with each other anymore, and a hurt Makino returns to Japan. When Domyouji finally comes back from overseas for his birthday party, his mother announces his unexpected engagement to oil heiress Okawahara Shigeru, much to the shock of F4, Makino, and Doumyouji himself. While in the meantime Hanazawa Rui's fondness towards Makino starts to grow into something more, Doumyouji is faced with a smitten fiance, the very likely possibility of losing the person he truly cares for, and a choice -- his duty to his family's company, or to the old feelings he can't quite hide anymore?

Ikeuchi Aya is a 15 years old girl, passing the high school exams. But little by little she starts to notice strange things appearing; she can't walk properly, things slip off her hands and her hand writing becomes messy. All of this, sadly, caused by a brain disease which can't be cured.

His next door neighbor, Noda Megumi (who prefers to be called Nodame and is completely besotted with him), is an odd bubbly otaku of a girl who doesn't bathe for days at a time, loves food of any kind, and lives in a state of constant chaos and filth -- all of which thoroughly disgusts Chiaki. When the eccentric German conductor Franz Strezemann unexpectedly appears at Momogaoka and forms his own orchestra out of the most unlikely candidates, an unprepared Chiaki is put in charge at Nodame's suggestion. Though initially tyrannical and set in his ways, Chiaki eventually recognizes that Nodame has true talent when it comes to piano as well as people. With her encouragement, he not only moves closer to his ultimate dream of becoming a world famous conductor, but begins to think more openly about the individual styles of the musicians in his charge -- and music itself.

Takagi Fujimaru is an excellent hacker who is dragged by Japan's Public Safety Special Third unit into a struggle with some dangerous terrorists who are trying to infect the world with a deadly virus. This virus has already deleted a whole city in Russia and now willing to destroy Tokyo.

Tomboy Go Eun Chan is often mistaken as male, so when the spoiled Choi Han Kyul makes the same mistake, she doesn't bother to correct him. Especially after he offers to hire the cash strapped Eun Chan as his fake lover, in order to drive away the blind dates his grandmother arranged. Eun Chan must keep up her charade of posing as a boy in order to secure a much needed job there. As she turns the triangle between Han Kyul, Han Sung, and Yoo Joo into a square, things become even more complicated when a confused Han Kyul begins to have romantic feelings towards his eccentric 'male' friend.

Sakaki 'Tornado' Makio is an aggressive and mentally slow 27 year old who can't do simple math or think about much of anything for more than 90 seconds at a time. When he unexpectedly starts making friends, becomes class leader of 3-A, and even develops a potential romance, he begins to realize that one learns much more than academics in the classroom.

A thoroughly uninterested Jan Di informs him money doesn’t buy everything -- least of all her. Jan Di begins to fall herself for the sensitive Ji Hoo, but Jun Pyo’s uncharacteristic earnestness to gain her approval also begins to win her over, confusing her even more.

Four years ago, Doumyouji Tsukasa proposed to Makino Tsukushi. With the wedding fast approaching, trouble begins to brew when a precious Doumyouji heirloom is stolen from Makino's hotel room. Enlisting the help of the rest of F4, the couple travels all the way to Las Vegas in the hopes of getting it back and saving their wedding, but the situation is stressful on the both of them. As their relationship becomes strained, Makino wonders if they should really get married after all.

A seemingly naive first year teacher at Shirokin Gakuen is assigned to class 3-D, which happens to be well known for the delinquent behavior of its students. None of them trust or listen to anything a teacher has to say, but luckily, Yamaguchi Kumiko is no ordinary teacher. The 4th generation in a yakuza family known as the Ooedo Group, Kumiko has chosen teaching over being the next clan leader, to her grandfather's disappointment. Eventually gaining the trust of her students through her unconventional teaching methods, 'Yankumi' (as they dub her) is constantly rescuing the boys of 3-D from false accusations, fawning over her forbidden police officer crush, Shinohara Tomoya, and hiding her caring but obvious family members from the public eye. With the help of class leader Sawada Shin, she leads 3-D towards graduation, defending them every step of the way while struggling to keep her secret hidden.

Mineta Chisato has not lived a normal life for the past 2 years, constantly on the run from her father's debt collectors. On one particular day after being cornered by them, Chisato is rescued by Okura Shinzo, a wealthy inventor, who shockingly says he'll pay off her debt of 100 million yen. But there's a catch -- he's convinced he only has a month to live, and she has to be his wife for the rest of that time. Oddly enough, Shinzo does in fact die after a month, and Chisato mourns, but is ready to move on with her new life. However, it seems there were a few stipulations in the fine print of her marriage contract, and she's suddenly forced to move to the family mansion, Trick Heart Castle, and play mother to Shinzo's six adopted sons.

He works reluctantly alongside master swindler Katsuragi Toshio, despite Toshio's ties to his family's downfall. Yoshikawa Tsurara, on the other hand, is an opinionated law student with a clear view of right and wrong. When Kurosaki helps her uncle after he becomes the victim of a Shirosagi, Tsurara's discernment rears its head, but changing him proves to be much more difficult than she had anticipated.

Iwaya Sumire, a strong and good looking woman, hated by everyone she knows. She is just too indifferent and strong, too high to reach. Therefore, her boyfriend leaves her and she is fired from her journalistic job. But surprisingly when she returns home she finds a box near her door, in which sits a living human being. He knows his name, Momo, and this Momo tells her he'll become anything she'll tell him. Therefore, she tells him she'll adopt him only on one condition -- he must become her pet.

Serizawa became a detective because of an event in his past. One day he receives a strange tarot card in the mail, and soon after ignoring it, somebody he knows dies. Another tarot card arrives, and he decides to look into it before somebody else is hurt, and the only person that keeps showing up in every step in his investigation is the lawyer Naruse.

Naoki's dream is to become a professional basketball player. He's dating Natsuki who's a cheerleader in his team. Riko's dream is to be a professional violinist. Her best friend and roommate is Mai. Riko and Naoki live in the same neighborhood. One day Naoki forgets his mobile phone in the bus where Riko finds it, so Naoki's coach goes to get it for him and falls for Riko.

Kanzaki Nao is a gullible student who comes home one day to find a box with a hundred million yen and a card saying that she has been chosen to participate in the 'Liar Game'. The purpose of the game is to trick other participants out of their hundred million yen within a pre-determined time frame. The winner wins the hundred million yen and the loser is in a debt of a hundred million yen. Kanzaki Nao loses her first game and, after being turned down by the police, hears of a genius swindler named Akiyama Shinichi who has just been released from prison and goes to him for help.
