A depiction of the last 23 days of the life of the great detective L and his final case.

Misaki Youko, a young woman who leads a life of no mother and grows up with three brothers, thus causing her to prefer the company of boys over girls. Youko is now in her 20s and leads a band along with three of her friends. The band is soon broken up when one of the members (Tsukasa) decides to leave for Tokyo to pursue a career as a banker, while Youko still has yet revealed her feelings for him. When Youko and the rest of the bandmates decide to say good bye to Tsukasa at the local airport, the guys get excited by watching the flight attendants walk by and Youko begins to tell them that she can too wear a uniform as well. Tsukasa then says he'd like to see her wearing a uniform, thus Youko begins a journey to become a flight attendant.

Based on the book written by Gackt who also stars the movie. It is the story of Kei, a vampire who had lost the will to live, and his meeting with Shou, the only person that was not afraid of learning about Kei's truth as a vampire. It is the story of their life together through the good times and the bad times in the corrupt City of Maleppa, even if time runs faster to the human Shou than it does to the everlasting Kei.
