Kiritani Shuuji is without a doubt the most popular boy at his high school. Well liked by just about everyone, his life seems perfect. But to Shuuji, popularity is just a game he plays -- it comes easily to him and it's comfortable. Despite being careful not to jeopardize it, he acknowledges that it holds no real value for him. His polar opposite, the hyperactive soy milk addicted Kusano Akira, couldn't care less about being popular himself -- something that seems to unnerve Shuuji. When a painfully introverted new girl by the name of Kotani Nobuko transfers into their class, the unexpected team of Shuuji and Akira dub her 'Nobuta', suddenly deciding to take hold of their youth and secretly 'produce' her into the most popular girl in school. The result is the efforts of these three unlikely friends as they begin to learn the difference between popularity and truly having someone to count on.

I loved it! REALLY loved it. At first I thought I'll watch it because Yamapi and Kame are in it. But after 2 episodes I was already into whole drama <3
I still think Yamapi was kinda retarted though xD And I don't know what I should think about Maki's acting... Did she played very well? Or did she do nothing at all? I'm confused xD |

I think that they ran out of budget and just decided oh we need to stop filming XD Boom the end?! But isn't that were most of the Japanese drama find their problems? I'm always stressed when a favorite serie reaches its final because I just know that it's gonna ruin my whole point of view!
And so did the Nobuta wo Produce final because I really love this serie, but the end was quite disappointing! |

At the beginning I didn't get along with Yamapi's and Horikita Maki's character - the drama wasn't exciting or had any action in it. But I really liked it, I think it's because of the three actors and the friendship between them.
I wonder why it's not in the genre "comedy", I laughed while watching this. |

I loved this drama. Some might find it boring because it's not as much as action and romantic or hardcore exciting. It's more deep, meaningful, and it takes setting in the suburban/cultural places in Japan. (2) Totally agreed!

I'm not really sure why people are so in love with this drama...
Yes, it was cute and it made me laugh Yes, it was heart warming and the acting was good But the end? Really? I felt so let down at the end. Like, the show had potential to be amazing...then the end just kinda...yeah. I guess just go into watching it knowing the end isn't going to be very satisfying. Other than that, it was a good drama. It made me like Yampi more :p |

I had to push myself through this Drama....it was really boring at some parts.

Nobuta has some of the most memorable scenes. There are definitely many scenes in Nobuta wo Produce that will make you laugh and get you annoyed. However, there were also some scenes in Nobuta that seem awkward and didn’t really fit in. For example, the episode with the ghosts (you’ll see once you watch it). These things don’t happen often in the series and it doesn’t make the whole series a bad experience. I just thought it would make been better if they somehow changed these scenes. A bit boring in the beginning but it evolved to the better.
