Kuriyu Kouhei isn't a typical public prosecutor. He refuses to put on a suit and wears his prosecutor badge in his pocket. That's why, when he is transferred into a new division and makes some unexpected decisions, his colleagues start to wonder if he is competent enough to do his job. However, in short time his shrewd observing mind, sincere nature and sense of justice are first able to gain the trust of his assistant, Amamiya Maiko, and then of the other people he works with. In the cases he works on he proves once and again that the first impression of someone is not necessary correct.
