Soichi Negishi is a shy musician whose dream is to become a pop singer. Instead, he ends up as Johannes Krauser II -- the lead singer and guitarist of the death metal band 'Detroit Metal City'. What follows is a series of comic events involving the geeky Negishi’s transformations into the death metal icon he hates so much.

Based on the manga of the same name.

This was so fucking great, in some moments I couldn't stop laugh of that, how they look for us, metalheads. Also film was parody of us, but many moments were very similar (for example concert attitudes). Fucking great actors, fucking great fun, but Soichi was too c*********g, he really irritated me since begin to end.

This is not a movie I would usually pick but a couple of my friends recommended it to me and I am glad that they did. This movie was very hilarious and was very enjoyable from the first moment. The Negishi/Krauser identity of Matsuyama really made the film and the main's philosophy of "No music, no dream." is one that will stay with me. By all means this movie was not the best I have seen BUT, it is good for laughs and is worth watching whenever you have free time or need something to watch. :)
