Synopsis

Komikado Kensuke is a lawyer, but not your stereotypical one. He's obstinate and possesses a wicked tongue. He's sarcastic, moody, and a spendthrift. Furthermore, he's exceedingly fond of money, fame, and women, which naturally has earned him a terrible reputation within legal circles. Despite this, he's never lost a lawsuit yet. Winning is everything to him and he possesses a genius talent for bargaining tactics which lead him to victory in every case. Any greenhorn by the book lawyer, he looks upon with disdain. Under his motto, 'Justice lies in the victor', he will use any means he chooses to achieve exactly that.

Both feature lawyers and court sessions in a comical way.
Both center around a skilled yet rather rude person who faces intellectual challenges and uncovers mysteries together with a female who works under him.

Episode 9&10! OMG!

The speech Komikado gives was epic. It is a great critique on Japan's problem with just accepting the status quo. Just taking crap lying down without fighting, all for the sake of an illusion of harmony in society.

Mayzumi's sacrifice for the case...only in Japan! Almost did not see that one coming. I kind of suspected it when she started drinking water in episode 9. I didn't actually think they'd go there.

it's quite good, but i like nothing except for the hilarious dialogues... The lighting is making it so hard to watch; everyone looks like they're sick with jaundice or something o.o

Excellent show, episode 8 is an amazing and realistic issue.
laflecha 09 Jun, 2012
Agreed. Episode 8 was fantastic. Riko Yoshida also did a fantastic job, as did the kid who played young Komikado. I thought this a solid show from the get-go, and I'm glad it's getting better and better.

Sakai Masato seems to have really embraced this character. He keeps getting stronger and stronger with it, and so is the series. Episode eight was probably the best so far even.

@lothiriel XDD indeed. But you see, I'm usually kind of right in this manner. I hope they WILL do something else soon because they don't have that many eps left and it'll be perfect if they will start to move the plot into this cool direction screaming "GO HERE"! lol
