Satoh Takeru will always be Kenshin to me so it's strange to see him in a different role (also not a fan of his long bangs in this...I wanna see his eyes)! I'm not really into music-based movies or dramas but I liked the story overall. It had some cute moments though the ending wasn't the best (yes, I'm even referring to the real ending that happens after the credits). A good one-timer. I might check out the Korean drama also based off of the same manga.

felt quite choppy, maybe because of the editing...it was an ok watch though, but not one of the best music-based movies

I wish I could have liked this movie more, but there are too many obvious gaps in the story. I'm guessing they took the main points from the manga and threw them into the movie, but they didn't fill up enough in between. I wish it had been a drama instead (maybe Korea will get it right with their upcoming version in drama form).

The age gap trend is still odd to me... at least it wasn't as big this time.
