Almost completely devoid of dialogues a movie sure to leave you speechless.

Set in a typical Asian scenery, it follows the tempo of the characters' emotions whose acting (Seo Jae Gyeong and Kim Yeong Min especially) was simply stunning!

Highly recommended 5/5

Ki-Duk Kim has become one of my favourite directors this Summer and I just had a blast revisiting this masterpiece. It's so beautiful and so chill, I really wanted to live on that lake. I was afraid I wouldn't get a lot of symbols because they belong to Buddhism but I was able to get most of them and more important I understood the meaning of each of the seasons which are linked to the cycles of life. I loved the silence, the slow-pacing, it was beautifully shot and I really felt in contact in nature. It was an amazing experience making it my 2nd favourite film from this director (my favourite is still The Isle which I watched a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about it).

9/10

CInemtography and soundtrack are absolutely perfect! I wonder, does any one else feel as sad and disturbed as I did towards the end?
