Both shows are about mind battles. In Death Note, Light proves to be a formidable opponent with his intellect. In Liar Game, Akiyama proves he is a perfect swindler forced to play a cruel game.

Hmmm I'm not sure what to think. It wasn't amazing and it wasn't horrible. Kind of over-dramatic at parts. Melo and N weren't mentioned, although I do believe I caught L eating the same chocolate that Melo really liked in the manga (if my memory serves correctly).
The manga was much better, of course, as everything was explained more intimately, but t wasn't bad.

@michellega

They could have made it blonde. Not that I care really, to be honest.

Great movie. (nikki, Black hair is color natural in Japan ,that's why her hair is not blonde)

I re-watched the scene when they are playing chess and thought, that if not the circumstances, in another life Light and L could be BFFs. They are the type of people who could only be best friends or mortal enemies. Unfortunately or fortunately, they the latter xD

As same as the first part - it's cult! And through it was hard for me to accept a movie version (after anime, which can't be compared to anything), I totally love it. And Kenichi DID AMAZING work with L character, suits him well :)
