im a big fan of Crows Zero but i can only see this as a bad joke

really expected much more from Aoi Haru's director, but it was really disappointing

I was really excited about it but I probably should have realized that it wouldn't be the same as the previous movies. Crows Zero was good because it was directed by Miike. I loved his use of music. This was just... weird. There were okay fight scenes and the rest was just boring.
And wtf, was Higashide chosen for his height? Because that was the only thing that made him stand out. I bet he's not so bad an actor but here his lines just sounded awkward. I guess not everyone can play a delinquent.

@daredaniel There is little to no drama in Takahashi's manga and same goes for Miike's films, did you really expect any kind of legit dramatic experience from the movie which is based on what is essentially a tournament shounen about delinquents? Although, I agree that, unlike previous films, this installment really lacks in style.

This was sooooooo dissapointing compared to the first 2 films. I really expected that the director of films like "9 Souls" and "Blue Spring" would pull up a much more interesting drama between the students. The fighting sequences weren't as exciting as they were in the previous films and the cast was pretty weak and forgettable. They kinda gave a cheap look to the film. Despite its serious flaws, I still find the concept of these films really entertaining.
