Both are about crimes; the investigator is a newcomer. He is very good at discovering people's lies and can read their minds due to their movements or habits, noticing their movements and everyday behavior. He himself likes to behave strangely at times and tease his stupider partner. The OST of both is by the composer Kanno Yuugo.

Indeed a masterpiece. Lies, lots of lies are what make this drama awesome!

I usually don't watch detective shows, but this was really surprising. The plot was driven by mystery, but the progression was really about the people in the town and Kaga's role in helping everyone involved to get over their problems. Not surprisingly, people lie or often don't want to talk about their own problems, especially to a detective.

And Abe Hiroshi is awesome once again. He can be funny even as a detective investigating a real murder about a show that wasn't supposed to be funny.

5/5.

Really liked this.
I found it amusing how he was always saying 'chinami ni' in every situation. Pretty irritating, yet funny.

This was really enjoyable. At some point of the series, I felt like they're not even searching for the murderer anymore, but in the end every piece of the puzzle fit in perfectly. A really nice series with many little side stories.

@Malice, there's a special called Akai Yubi being released in Japan on January 3rd. :)
I have to get started on the series first before watching the special.

aww,it was really pleasant to watch it <3
first,i want season 2 or at least a SP xD
i expected this to be an ordinary detective drama but it was so different and in the end i really love it.
it's funny that in 10 eps they resolve only a crime xD but i loved that Kaga really cared about the personal problems of suspects
