Following the tried and true pattern of the story, Itazura na Kiss 2 shows us that while getting married is great, there's still hurdles to pass afterwards.

The story stays true to the source material pretty faithfully despite some reshuffling of the sequence and compacting the plot. But because it's almost slice of life, there's little impact, managing to retain a consistent flow.

The acting is fairly consistent with that of the first season. It's over the top to match the tone of the manga, which may be a turn off for some viewers, but by far not the worst. Unfortunately, it does impact the chemistry between the leads, and in a story based entirely their relationship, that's a large flaw. It often feels like Naoki doesn't fully like Kotoko, putting up with her more than loving her. So instead of coming off as him being amused -and occasionally exasperated - by her, it more often comes off as him being bored.

That being said, the story has proven time and time again to be entertaining despite its flaws and that still holds true here. A good watch for fans of the source material, or those looking for an easy, no brainer watch, it's still a fun ride.

I've watched the anime (2008), the Taiwanese version (2005-2007), the Korean version (2010), and this Japanese version (2013-2014), and this one is by far my favorite!

It didn't seem like it dragged on and got through all the important plot points. Also I love LOVE how Naoki was portrayed the most in this version (very caring of Kotoko)! Oo and I liked that Kotoko was more confident in her relationship. But the best part about this version is
that they had their baby! The last episode when they are happily walking with her is SO CUTE!

Must watch if you are as in love with this story as I am!

Lovely! the end is so cute. <3
Japanese and korean version are both good, but this season 2 has more details and development of characters than korean extra episodes.

well it took me longer to finish this season 2 because in the first few episode Kotoko became too annoying. but Naoki's show of affection towards her is just romantic that's why I pushed myself to finish it. plus Miki Honoka's facial expressions are just super funny to watch!! LOL

I liked this season 2 than the season 2 of the taiwanese drama. That version became too draggy and their version of Kotoko is very stupid. At least in this version, Kotoko was able to redeem herself.

I like it! I like korean and japanese version the same. Both are different. Japanese version is more like anime.

everything about this season was bad...kotoko's endless dependence on naoki just pissed me off...he still doesn't let her in on what he's doing and treats her like trash, except the end because of a typical reaon

Every episode kotoko cry on naoiki "you don't love me anymore" then
he kiss her and she become happy!!!! all about this!!! very bad.
Other than that why she still calls him Irie-kun?!!!!!
