Aughhhh OK- I definitely liked the Director's Cut more, because they cut out a bunch of the stuff with the 8th prince and added more of Wang So (but DramaFever skipped subbing some of the added in parts *sigh*)

Sequel please!!!
Now I remember how they could do a sequel- they left the ending open for it. I think they could make Wang So travel to the future...but I'm not a writer so I'm not sure how far they could go with that.

(And I just looked up and saw the Tablo is a singer for the OST of this show??? Makes it even better!)

Watching this drama a second time (this time the Director's Cut, but I'm not sure what's different so far) and it's a completely different experience. Wang So has to be one of the most tortured characters ever. T_T I just want to hold him and tell him everything will be alright.
I think I'll give the original Chinese version a shot- but I'm not sure anything can beat Lee Jun Gi (damn he is so pretty).

For once, I liked the ending. I felt like it meant sense.
P.S. This drama has one of the best soundtracks ever. Like, every single song is amazing.

Just finished this drama last night. Glad I picked it up, at first I was hesitant because I don't know if IU and Lee Jun Gi looks good together because the poster wasn't convincing me enough. But then, I just really want to watch another historical and a better drama after Hwarang so I gave this a shot. This drama was so good that I marathoned it and finished it right away. But even I kinda feel what the ending would be like still I was hoping the opposite
that they still would end up being together happy or that Hae Soo would meet Wang So in the present time like De Ja Vu something like that..but (ToT) huhuhu maybe I'm being too greedy but I love this pair so much!

It was heart-wrenching for me.

I really really love the main couple so much. Actually, after finishing this I know for sure that It would take me days to get over this drama and to finally just accept it that it ended already. But I'm still in a state of kinda shock, not exactly shocked but my mind just isn't going anywhere. I don't know what to watch next, do next or should I just let this feelings that I got from this drama subside before I start a new one? I just still can't get over it and move on. My heart still aches! (TT_TT)

I hope, really really hope they would make a second season of it, maybe set in present time? Oh please, I beg you screenwriters, producers, creators, make a second season.!

Well I hope to see more of IU and Lee Jun Gi together in dramas in the future.

I still don't get why Hae Su wanted to see Wang So in the last episode. It's not like she would give her daughter to him or ask him to come live with her. She knew clearly that he wasn't willing to leave his throne since that's the answer she got when she asked him the second time. (He was willing to do when she asked him that the first time.)

I'm happy with the ending. But I can't deny the fact that I wanted to see Wang So in the modern age. XD At these times, I wish Koreans would make real "specials", not "specials" that only include interviews and behind the scenes footage. I love watching those too but there are times you just want to see something additional at the end of the series.

I think the screenwriter just couldn't use the time travel element well. As someone who loves titles about time travel, I just don't think this title could be considered as one. She should have added more references from the modern world. Somehow, Hae Su has gotten used to the ancient era so quickly. I would have wanted to see more scenes where she was troubled with the differences.

@jeaudrey I feel you! Still hurts!
Lee Jun Ki really is the king of historical dramas.
