I’m not sure if I ever watched the original Peach Girl anime when I was younger or if I just remember hearing so much about it that I knew the story. Either way, I watched this movie after stumbling upon a really well-done fanmade music video and I pretty much got what I expected: a live action version of a shojou manga.

The story progresses fast (because: movie) which really made the different plot points seem even more ridiculous. The misunderstandings were immature and by-the-book but I suppose if I was in high school I would probably not mind as much and enjoy it more.

It was cute, overall, but nothing substantial. Would recommend it for a rainy day and nostalgia for some Japanese entertainment.

I liked this live action. I haven't read the manga, so Idk how the original story is like, therefore I can't make any comparisons, but I've gotta say I liked it in general, but I found annoying all those schemes to ruin things and all those clichés, plus
the forever consideration of Momo towards Sae, despite ALL of her schemes against Momo.
I realised the 'happy ending' came too soon, and from then onwards, the movie felt a bit draggy, but still its lenght was suitable to show the development of the situations.

Sth I liked about the plot was that I couldn't guess which of the boys she would end up with. I couldn't even cheer on one of them, bc I sympathized with both, but I liked how it ended.

So I rated it 3/5.

It's not a typical high school romance so I get why there are negative comments.

The characters here actually have realistic motives and act according to them. The story gets derailed out of the usual romance plot;
can you believe that in the first 30 minutes, the first male lead helped the female lead get together with the second male lead?
I was kept guessing until the end, who will the girl choose? She had plenty of good reasons to choose any of the two, and that's why her choice was very satisfying to witness.

I gave this a five star, not because it's perfect, but because it let me think about many things and made such an impression.
Plus, it used Ikimonogakari's Kimi Ga Iru Kara and YUKI's Dramatic as insert songs (minus point for Call Me Maybe tho lol)

i don’t know about others, but I actually enjoyed it. as a big fan of the anime/manga i should say I really really LOVED the movie! it’s genuinely my favorite movie. they changed the story quite a bit, but the basic plot is still there and it was overall a great movie. it did a pretty decent job getting the long overly complicated story of peach girl manga across in 2 hours. and the actors did a great job. please don't get the negative comments here, if you want a nice movie with funny cast and don't mind some classic cliches, you should watch this! :)

I think this is one of the worst japanese movies I've ever watched. Things seem just to happen without any reason.

Awwww.... Inoo Kei should stick to architecture. <3 I like the kid, but I don't think acting is for him... it doesn't help that this movie wasn't very good.
