boss 2
2011 TV jp

Osawa Eriko is a smart and capable career woman who ruined her career over a man and, as a demotion, was sent to the US for training. Now that she's back, she's appointed boss of a new division. This division is comprised of a ragtag team of detectives who, despite being very capable themselves, all have some kind of flaw.

There are no words to describe how much I love this drama. It's got a fantastic cast, great music, interesting cases (some that are more gripping than others), excellent acting (or maybe just by Amami Yuuki), and even a twist at the end.

One of the things I love most is that BOSS has plenty of humor, which is something you'd think a serious detective show shouldn't have, but the thing is it places the humor at just the right points and doesn't overdo it and lose sight of its main goal. Really awesome.

In both series Amami Yuuki plays an astonishing police investigator.

Both dramas share a great number of cast members in similar configurations and have a similar vibe. Rikon Bengoshi is about lawyers, while Boss is about detectives.

That dorama was just awesome.
Amami Yuuki as the boss was so genius.
I've enjoyed every moment of the show, a really great dorama.
Looking forward to season 2.

good dorama although they sometimes keep things and evidences from the crime scene in the investigation secret so we viewers get surprised at the result i don't know how to put it but yeah ^^" .. Surprisingly
i knew that nodate was playing or doing something from the sign Eriko do it for him.. and the last ep didn't shock me that much because of that

ep 9 was the most touched one and ep 4 n 5 come next :(

Not to spoil anything but when Takashi showed up in the final case all I could think of was "OMG ITS GTO".
This was the first drama I've seen with Takenouchi and the man is a classic! Carefree womanizer as a boss? So much win.

The humour was consistent from first episode to last episode (a big LOL of the final case when the superintendent danced. The situation was outrageous. The show in general was fairly consistent, even with the annoyance of the higher brass with their narcissistic obsession to avoid criticism from mass media.

Amami Yuuki & Takenouchi Yutaka were absolutely fantastic in this, with a great supporting cast to back them up! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone interested in a lightweight detective drama. :)

I agree with @whitedestiny about making it seem like the other superiors are stupid. It's not totally like that but, it turns out that the others (who are not really with the team) are the ones who commit the mistakes and give poor judgment regarding the case almost all the time.

But I really liked Amami Yuuki's acting. She's really fit for these kind of roles.
