Both shows feature students going through their highschool every day lives and overcome issues related to that. The focus of the two series is a bit different, with kimi ni todoke being on the romance side, but both have a lighthearted humour with a somewhat similar school theme.

Both are animations featuring school romance. They're a bit different from regular cliché works from the same genre and have a more gentle atmosphere and art style.

This show made me fell in love with Noto Mamiko and her magical voice <3 i loved Sawako as well it's hard to find pure and innocent anime characters like her.

Also way better than typical shojo series out there....

Sweet and atmospheric, a super easy watch.

I crack up every time Sawako starts crying because she's happy, it's so cute. XD

I kind of rewatched this and the 2nd season now and what I really appreciate about this is the wonderful atmosphere and slow pace (not boring) of this anime. All the beautiful colours and how you can actually feel the seasons changing and how it resonates with the story and the character's feelings...jus awww. And all that pureness omg! :-))

I love Karuho Shiina's works (well the 2 I have read). They are both cute and 3D. I liked this, but I enjoyed Crazy for You more than this one, Reaching You. Of course, if you have time, it's more satisfying to read the manga instead. It's very cute and bright. You dote on it.

This movie was good. I loved it... But some parts dragged, and the ending made me even wonder WHY i even started watching the series :|
But at least there is a season 2, THANK GOODNESS.
Time to watch the live action now. Hope it makes up for the anime :)
