This is most likely the best Korean movie I have seen that I probably watch never again. Let's just say you most likely think twice about eating meat after watching this. However it's a touching and lovely story of a friendship between a girl and a superpig and at the same time a terrifying story of how the society sees meat production.
There's also fantastic cast outside the Korean names here, there's Steve Yeun from Walking Dead, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tilda Swinton, Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad and Paul Dano to name a few. But what else than a great film can you expect from the director and writer of "Snowpiercer".

Wow, just wow. I did not expect anything like this. A great story, no weak links among the cast, great production and special effects, and damn, be sure the plot will hunt you down for few days after completing the movie. It was like a mixture of 'The Neverending Story' and 'The Hunger Games'. Bong Joon Ho proved that he knows how to fit terror and black humor in one scene. The whole movie was like a one big opposition: you see a concerned society that are carnivorous hypocrites. I don't think there ever was a movie which would try to sell the old notion that you can't eat a pig and have a pig at the same time in such a good manner.
Truly a masterpiece.
