Just rewatched it yesterday. You know, this is the first time when I clearly see how derivative towards Blade Runner GitS really is. That goes beyond simple inspiration, there're scenes that are practically copypasted from Scott's film.

One of the first "mature" animes I've seen, and it still ranks among the very best. High in concept with philosophical themes and an all around awesome execution. In general really good sci-fi.
