They are about a young man who has a lot of debt. By chance, he meets a young mistress and tries to get the money for his debt from her, but he ends up as her butler.

They are both about a butler, the young mistress he serves and their surroundings of other butlers and young mistresses. The main heroin is studying at a prestigious academy, while her butler is there to assist her. In Hayate the Combat Butler they are also young masters, while in Mei-chan no Shitsuji the master can only be a girl.

20 episodes instead of 13 isn't it?

After maybe the 3rd chapter it just became natural for me to ignore her lips but if your like me it still caused my ears to hurt because they are very sensitive to voice overs. Shin Hye is very beautiful but I have no idea why they didn't just use one of Taiwan's beautiful actresses instead. I'm sure because of her the show had a higher chance of being international though.
It's a very cute and very funny show. It's a nice easy going chapter that's not dramatic (the parts that would be considered dramatic were made into a comedy). Even though it didn't have a too many episodes I still ended up forcing myself to watch the last episode. I just became bored with it and I don't know why. It has a very cute ending but nothing special.

Two words: VERY GOOD! My only peeve about Shin Hye being dubbed (and that was only cuz I wanted to hear her voice..I would have watched it in korean and mandarin if I could have) left me in one or two episodes. People who enjoy the anime and manga should be able to enjoy this drama adaption. Park Shine Hye did an awesome job and George Hu is AWESOME..love him as Hayate! I wish I could see him in more...<3

I can't believe it's over! Loved it so much!

I know the voice over is a bit weird, but I actually started to ignore it after a while. The plot has not a lot of drama, but it's funny and cute, like almost all the manga-based series.

I really recommend it!

Well FYI Park Shin Hye doesn't speak mandarin in the series, she's dubbed. I could read her lips and she actually is speaking Korean, with a stupid Chinese voice dubbing her. It doesn't seem very interesting, so I'll drop. Can't even finish the 1st episode.

I'll give it a try cuz I'm curious what Park Shin Hye's mandarin sounds like.
She's far from being my favorite actress but I'd like to see if a different language is gonna change thins. Will review on it later.
