Synopsis

The Three Kingoms Period of China: The weakened Han dynasty court is being held captive by lord Cao Cao. Not only the puppet emperor, though, is being held captive, but Liu Bei's subject and sworn brother, Guan Yu. Famous for his peerless prowess, he is up to the test as he receives word of Liu Bei's whereabouts and must fight his way through Cao Cao's defenses to reach freedom and his sworn brother.

Average. Boring plot, daft storyline, it was literally all over the place. Some scenes were so abruptly cut, that it made me wonder whether editors just did it accidentally lol On the other hand - good fighting scenes and as was mentioned previously deep philosophy. In my opinion it was the worst Donny Yen's movie I have ever seen, I bought this DVD as a present and was highly disappointed xd

Very interesting! Amazing fights, deep philosophy, beautiful costumes and decorations. Everything was really great, just as Chinese/Hong Kong historical movies should be!
