The characters were interesting but unidimensional and static. Thankfully there were enough of them to showcase various life struggles. Fight scenes were impressive (especially the first one where the sounds of battle were muted and replaced by melancolic music) but what impressed be the most were the burning castles.

In terms of acting, I highly disliked Kaede and the father... which took a lot of the enjoyment away for me.
Overall I found the threee hours a bit long and eventhough the plot was well entertwined, it failed to enthrall me.

2/5 = Watchable but low or no enjoyment

Gloriously looking, with some of the most impressive battle scenes ever filmed. It is just a fabulous epic!
