After having her boyfriend leave her for a senior at school, Han Ji Wan decides to take revenge on the girl by stealing away her latest conquest, new student Cha Gang Jin. She abandons her plan when she begins to develop real feelings, only to be rejected. When Gang Jin finally likes her back, tragedy strikes Ji Wan's family, and the two go their separate ways. Years later, Gang Jin is a successful architect. After being invited to attend the engagement party of one of his colleagues, he's shocked to realize the bride is none other than his childhood love.
Will It Snow For Christmas? is not a mind-blowing show, nor is it something to rave about. The show is simple, almost slice-of-life, with some exaggerated elements thrown in. It has its cliched moments, and employs the use of time skips a bit too liberally for my taste.
But the show has a great lead pairing; and while the acting may not be the best, Go Su is the master of emoting with his eyes.
The show is, at its heart, not really about the romance. It's about two people who are trying to overcome the many struggles blocking their way, some intrinsic and some not. Some of the barriers are large, some not, but all need to be passed in order for the leads to move on. The viewer is simply watching them continue on their journey (hence the many through a window shots in my opinion).
Will It Snow For Christmas? is a great show to watch if you'd like something simple, and something that's more about people overcoming their struggles than it is about the romance.
Both are about a girl and a boy who were friends when they were young, and then when they grow up, they meet each other again. Both have a similar atmosphere, though Will it Snow at Christmas is more dramatic.
