Galileo Spin-off Drama Starring Shibasaki Kou To Air In June akiraka 1 posts 02 Jun, 2013 by akiraka
Utsumi Kaoru, the character played by actress Shibasaki Kou in the drama series Galileo, will return as the lead protagonist in a new spin-off drama scheduled...

Maybe it's because I'm withdrawing from pain meds and recovering from surgery, but, lord, I just started weeping at the end, when the old man confessed, and especially when he was trying to get into the chair at the police station.
That old guy was just so cute. Such a subtle and lovable actor!

Kitamura Kazuki, Fukuyama Masaharu, and, of course, the sole reason I even started watching this series, Miura Haruma, are sooooo good-looking. Two hours of classic ikemen.

Very good special. I like the fact Galileo remained his old self like in the original series. It was also nice to see Kurusangi play a larger role in this as he plays his laid back character really well like he did in the original.

Many people complain that Kaoru was missing from this but in all honesty it made very little difference as her "replacement"; Shionoya managed to fill the role of the clumsy girl well. I think people just naturally fear change and the removal of such a key character I feel has put people off.

The comedy here was better here than the original I felt. And putting the scientists into a beach environment which completely contrasts to their personalities was gold. Kuribayashi plays the stereotype of the scientist really well here.

The mystery in question here was just as good as those of the original and it even had the added bonus of someone who was just as intelligent as Galileo involved.

Overall the special I felt was better than the original but I merely say this because this was a one time thing which prevented the flaw of a lack fo character progression which I felt plagued the original series as it progressed. 5/5

Although I didn't complete the drama - I really liked the special.
Yukawa Manabu is just awesome. And Haruma did a really good job! But it was a loong special. My head aches. xD

Hm.. I didn't liked the special as much I liked the drama.

he-he Miura Haruma was so cute as Galileo :)

@nukiwa : Yes, she did not apper in it :( /because the action in it is three years before he met her heroine/ Maybe That's why I didn't like it that much.
