@dollstar True... but it's possible those scenes were animated just for the preview =/ But I really hope there will be a second season...

@purefault Well even the last episode hinted at what is to come, so it definitely looked like there was going to be a continuation. But it had such awful sales and backlash from the readers of the manga that I prefer to not hold out hope too much.

@dollstar My feelings exactly. In fact, I too rushed to find the manga after finishing the series, and it was the first time I've ever done something like that. Still, it's early to say there is no second season since it's possible that it could still happen, but it does seem pretty unlikely =/

I was very impressed with this anime as well. I had no problems with the character designs or the slow pace, rather I was immersed and affected in a way very few anime, if any, have done before. Right after finishing it I picked up the manga to finish the story. Up to now, this is the only unfinished anime that made me read the source material, so that should say something. The manga is also very good, but the atmosphere and stylistic choices of the anime are really something else. It's a pity it was badly received and there was no second season, I would have loved to see the rest of the manga animated.

I still can't this series out of my head. I haven't experienced atmosphere like this is a long, long time. Watching this was an experience.

@Random chan I feel the same way. The darkness, tension, and overall "feel bad" vibe of this show it was made it so special to me. After I finished it, I quickly read the rest of the story via the manga because I really couldn't wait to see how it ended.

@jan1991 :o It was very dark, but that was the point. I always felt really bad after watching 1 episode XDD. But that's why I thought it was good too :P. People are too used to motivating, good ending type of things.

This is one of the most unsettling things I've ever watched.
