Both anime are a reverse harem based on an otome game, so the protagonist is a girl surrounded by many men who fall in love with her, often leading to differing love stories.

I thought it was fine. It's your average romance anime. Not really much of a romcom in my opinion (it did have a few hilarious scenes). I've heard that they made a simulation game in japan about this so this show was probably just to promote it. Personally I think anything more than 12 episodes would be too much.

Obviously this is a Japanese anime so it has Japanese culture. Women in Japan are portrayed to be innocent and (I guess the best word is) controllable. I'm not saying women in Japan are all like that. It's kinda like how Haruhi was always getting pulled by Hikaru and Kaoru in OHSHC. It's also clearly stated that she's confused. While she has no romantic feelings for them she doesn't want to destroy her new family. She's was always left to be alone while her father was busy. When she obtained 13 new siblings she was excited have company. It only makes logical sense that she would try her hardest to please everyone.

I liked it.
People talk aboutChi-chan not bieng able to say no, but I think that was just her heart fluttering by being surrounded of oh so many kawaii boys each with his own peculiar character. At the same time, she'd never experienced the feeling of having a family, so she just wanted to enjoy that just granted to her. I think it's just a matter of empathy to know how much affection a lonely person needs. And she also knows that she would cause more trouble by choosing one of them. So she just wants to enjoy having the family she was never able to have and grant a good relationship with all of them.

I'd like if there was a sequel where she would meet a guy (outside the family) at the university and they started to go out together and her brothers would all try to interfeer every time Chi-chan would meet 'their rival'. It would be funny!
I had a very good time watching this, full of kawaii characters with enchanting voices, and I laughed a lot at those brother conflicts. ^^

Uta no☆princesama feels all over again. No, this is worse than Princesama. Only gave it three stars because of the amazing cast. Mediocre plot - it was about nothing at all! Stupid girl, that just can't say no - with one, with another...jeez, she is SO NOT 16!
S ALL.

Edit: after much deliberation decided to downgrade to 2 stars. Still a better love story than Twilight tho.

Almost all the shojo and some of the bl cliches are in this anime.... Not that I expected anything else, but come on, there was a cliche after every cliche with nothing else between o__O;
The girl had no personality (come on, how hard it is to say NO) and the boys were just steretypical characters. The only characters that I liked were the guys, that actually weren't trying to catch the girl...

Animation and voice acting were good though.
