Synopsis

Takezou was orphaned before the age of ten, he lived in the mountains, practiced swordfighting and was the strongest kid in the village. He first killed when he was thirteen and mostly lived solitary life. One day, he decides to go to war with his friend, Matahachi. Their whole legion is destroyed and they are the only few who survived. Not being able to go back to their village, which would mean they are cowards/traitors, and thus sentenced to death, they go into hiding. Not long after they are found by the government and Takezou has no choice but to flee. A lot happens and he 'dies', changing his name to Miyamoto Musashi. He then departs to a long journey.

If I hadn't read the novel, I would have really liked it. Anyway, it's a good series in itself and the soundtrack is great, indeed. (Ennio Morricone composed it!)

This drama was amazing and it had awesome mood throughout the drama.

Good history lesson for kids and fangirls, very interesting life(plot) too.

One of the best actors + the soundtrack made this even better.

And I liked how they explained things in popups that would have been hard to understand otherwise.

Recommended for anyone.
