Tamo Aoshi finds himself jobless and goes back to teach at his alma mater, Joutoku academy. The school is famous for the high rate of students getting into Tokyo university, a school full of smart people with no baseball skills. Nonetheless, there are students who want to play baseball and go to koushien. Aoshi becomes their coach, and tries to prove that, even though they're weak, they can still win.

Both are about the baseball teams of schools that seem unlikely to have good sport teams. Yowakutemo katemasu is set in a school for students who prepare for the entrance exam of Japan's best university; Glove is about a school for hearing impaired children.
They are both about poorly organized high school baseball teams. In both an outsider joins the team and improves it through unusual means. In yowakutemo katemasu a science teacher encourages the students to think of scientific ways to improve their play. In moshidora a female manager introduces professional management ideas.

I don't think I can finish this one... I am stuck at episode 8 and planned on continue watching it at least for Nino, but even he can't save the drama this time. I have to say he acts here like he also didn't really enjoy the script at all and was bored most of the time. It is really rather boring and too slow and a lot of the characters are annoying as hell >.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed it but the drama has the same composer as nakuna harachan. The music is quite similar and I think it's largely due to it that I loved the dramas so much

I love that it's not about "everyone should be BFF with everyone" it's really realistic yet really amusing I hope they won't ruin the last 2 eps.

What I really like about this so far is that they don't strictly follow the issue of the week pattern. I really hate when they suddenly introduce a problem and solve it right away, only to totally forget about it in the following episodes and I think in this drama they've done well.
Like, Kamezawa was weird right from the start but his poverty was only slowly introduced. And I really like the whole issue around Ebato and Okadome and the way it's addressed. At least for now there was no great bonding moment, they just kind of try to get along and that's cool because it's realistic.

seems amusing, especially since akutsu said in a radio show that in the beginning no one could play baseball! >.

Oh nice, just the other day I thought that I'd like to watch another baseball themed school drama

This is such a perfect part for Nino. I laugh everytime I think he's supposed to have graduated from Todai - but the first episode was nice, unexpectedly so. And everyone seems to be up to the standard. Let's see how it goes from now on. :)
