A short time before the end of the world comes, three people meet in a records store. Every one of them has something to do with the world's saviour but they basically don't know it. And so begins the 'Fish Story' -- a story that revolves around a punk music disk that came out before the punk days and how this one disk changed the world's fate.
Friendship, destiny, standing for yourself, romance, family, heroes and finally saving the world. This movie, lightly touching all aspects in life, tells us the story of a great song that saved the world.
There isn't much connecting those films together besides a somewhat similar feeling at the end. Although ikigami may leave a bit unpleasant thoughts, while fish story just inspires and makes for a good mood, the somewhat peaceful feeling at the end is the same. Also, both films touch different aspects in life along with a nice, interesting storyline. If you liked one of the films, you may also enjoy the other one as well.
