Suspicious Partner is an odd mix of legal, thriller and romantic comedy. Luckily, it does all the different genres well, leading to an entertaining watch.

The show's strongest aspect are the characters. From our mismatched group of lawyers to the criminals, everyone is will written and acted. Comedy abounds as they annoy each other and care for each other, and the main villain is not only terrifying in how smart he is but also manages to be intriguing; is he a terrible person who needs to be caught? Yes. But there's also a drive to find out his backstory about why he's doing all this. Even the one-shot characters are fully fleshed out.

Ji Chang Uk and Nam Ji Hyeon are great as the leads, hitting all the comedic moments while allowing for romance to bloom. All the supporting cast take their characters and run with them, bringing their quirks to life and interacting seamlessly with each other.

The directing allows the comedy to shine and all the shots are gorgeous.

A definite recommend.

The plot wasn't strong from the beginning, it soon became boring, it's hard to finish it

@kirtil But, the reason you gave is the exact reason why ...
Jang Mu Yeong doesn't check other possibilities. No Ji Uk's flashbacks show how prosecutor Jang doesn't go out of his way to find the truth. Instead, once he decides who's guilty, he creates "evidence" to support his verdict and punish that person.

Tho not @stellybish level, I felt very little for the mains and their supposed love. Constantly lying each other to protect each other, I started to wonder if they even share a true moment after the events started.

Singularly everyone was ok, and I liked them good enough.. but then started the "sacrificing" of the characters to keep things interesting and I felt bored.
I mean it was good when Jang Mu Yeong to get crazy with grief and tried to make Eun Bong Hui pay for it but when you think about it more than a year passes and he is still on same tricks. At some point you'd expect him (a DA; a person supposedly experienced enough for the seat and as we later found out, also experienced on the skirting the law / dancing on the edge kind of shady things) to also check other possibilities even if only to eliminate them.
But any time they wanted to add new problems for the couple they just delivered it using him and it got old really fast.

Also I found mains a little lacklustre here. there were no sparks on their scenes together, no synergy. I liked both of them better in their previous roles. Either they peaked at their previous dramas or Seo In Guk and Park Min Yeong were better actors and managed to get more out their respective partners.

I really like both Changwook and Jihyun, but after 10 episodes (5 per 60 mins), I FEEL NOTHING for any of the characters.
No suspense and I definitely do not like how the romance started and where it's going, so... dropped for now.
Maybe I will continue it one day... if I have nothing else to watch/do xD haha

I have watched it almost from the beginning and enjoyed it, but as the show went on I liked it less and less to the point that I didn't even know why I am watching it at all^^ I still haven't watched the last 12 episodes and the problem is that I am not curious about the ending. Don't know if I will finish it someday, but at least not now.

The first half was good and then it dragged really bad, the only reason to finish it was the villain because his acting was so good.

Meh.. It started off well but began to drag midway till the end of the drama. Also, I think that Noh Ji Wook and Eun Bong Hui's relationship would never last in real life. They're not suitable for each other. Eun Bong Hui doesn't seem to be satisfied with anything Noh Ji Wook does, and she keeps threatening him with break up every time they had a fight which I find quite irritating.

There is nothing I didn't like about it, there was enough of everything. Ji Chang Uk has become even more charismatic <3
