The two series are completely different featuring only loose connections when coming to conceptual levels. The two center around a servant and his master whom he must protect and obey. The comedy in kamen no meido gai makes you loosely think of hellsing, as both main characters tend to be very unaware of basic social norms.

If someone asked me what it is about, I would say I don't know.

I just know that Alucard is cool.

Most important, this series is only loosely connected to the manga. I read all volumes and the plot is different.

So is the ending.
I'm not really sure what happened in manga, because it was so chaotic, but all I know is that there is an epilogue where Integra is 30 years older, leading Hellsing, and Alucard is finally coming back (after those 30 years when he was... someplace else xD)

Earlier, there was this huge battle in England with neo-Nazis, and Alucard was battling father Anderson and then brainwashed young-again Walter.

It's really complicated xD It's hard to get my head around it, so I had to grab wikipedia for explanation ;)
