Synopsis
After getting back to Japan from training in China, Ranma and Akane are forcefully engaged and start living under the same roof with Akane's family, Ranma's father and a really cute pig who is actually a human. However, in the trip to China Ranma and his father made, they both fell into a cursed spring which makes them change their apearance every time when coming in touch with hot and cold water. This comic situation makes Ranma go through a lot of trouble involving new battles, opponents and other crazy happanings.

Despite them both being so different, they share the same genre, martial arts. Rekka no honou features sort of 'supernatural' martial arts like being able to control fire, wind etc. while ranma just uses the 'regular' type of martial arts involving physical fighting. However, you may enjoy both despite all this, as rekka no honou as well as ranma 1/2 the second season have nice fighting scenes, warm and admirable characters and friendship issues. |
