Memories of the Alhambra takes a unique spin on dramas by focusing on AR. And it does a pretty good job of it.
The story starts of strong and makes great use of the foreign setting to create an interesting plot filled with intrigue. The story progresses, continuing to raise the stakes and keep making twists. Part of this definitely goes to Hyeon Bin who manages to heavily carry a good chunk of the show as the male lead who goes through the various ups and downs of the plot. Without a strong lead, the show definitely would have faltered regardless of how quick the story moved.
Unfortunately Park Sin Hye has far less to do and it becomes apparent that this is a very male lead focused show. While she does grow to develop somewhat of a role, she is mostly relegated to the sidelines.
A recommend for those that want something different and fun, not so much for fans of Park Sin Hye.
