Both discuss dark themes about society and science in a sci-fi environment. While Casshern is darker and features more action, metropolis tries to approach the topic in a more colorful way, followed by jazz music. You might want to check the two different approaches to this particular idea.

Watched it a long time ago and deleted it from my memory. The only thing that was good about this movie was OST. Love it <3 Such a waste of good music tho.

I saw this movie at cinema many years ago when it arrives in Italy but since i couldn't remember much of it (now i know: if you don't remember, there must be a reason!) i decided to watch it again last night.... why!?!?!!?
Too long, too boring, too graphic effectfs, too senslees.
Still, what at the end despited me the most, is that actually this could have been a great movie...

Terrible. Horrible. This movie was just... ughk.
#1.
The part where Tatsuya and Barashin were about to fight and then the background music sounded like it came from Bleach; the part every time when a Hollow would appear. IDK, maybe it's just me... but I SWEAR it's exactly the same lol =A="

#2. The King antagonist looked like Dante (and Yamada Takayuki lolol)
#3. Too much visual effects. I swear this was too overpowering in the movie it annoyed me.
#4. Too much use of graphics.
#5. Bad use of dialogue.
#6. Horrible fighting scenes, expressions and... everything!

Brilliant visuals and music, but the plot is messy and hard to follow.

The Back Horn, and some of the cast were the only redeeming things about this movie, it's long, tedious, boring and silly.
