The series starts with a cute, cheerful girl that surprisingly committed suicide. But soon the police discover it was actually a murder. The murderer stabbed the girl and pushed her body from the balcony, making the room look like she killed herself. Detective Kanzou, looking for a point to begin, gets a picture of the girl and her boyfriend. Kanzou thinks this man has some answers.

Perhaps Takuya's most brilliant acting to date. Those who are hesitant to watch, please remember that more than a mystery, suspense story, this is a love story. It is about falling in love and growing for love. You will find complex character interactions and intricate relationships unlike many dramas you've seen before. But more than that, the chemistry between the main characters are so magnetic it will twist your heart as well.

This is not a happy drama, but once you are hooked, you can't help but wish for Ryo and Yuko's happiness even if it means the damnation of everyone else.

There are a lot of similarities. Revenge, the relationship between the enemies, and mysterious deaths.

In both doramas Kimura Takuya plays main role and the plot is similar.

i finished ep 8 and it's great, although i found first episodes a bit boring,it became interesting..I wonder how it will end.

my expectations were so high X.X and i ended really disappointed.
from first eps i expected Ryo and Yuko to be linked somehow and after i found out that she's not Kanzou's sister and she and Ryo have a burn mark and both don't remember exactly what happened, i was sure that their past is connected..I throught she could be his sister but i expected something better :|
i knew that Ryo will die..but i didn't expect Yoko to shoot him =.=

good part: at the beginning it's impossible to know what will happen next or what Ryo really thinks, this makes the drama better..but after a while you can foresee.
i liked some songs from the ost and Smile by Elvis Castello.
funny things about it:
was strange how every woman fallen in love with Ryo,I know he is Kimura Takuya but here he was just someone who worked in a restaurant..not prince charming or something like this..I didn't like that he always worn that hat, probably he wanted to cover his face,to avoid women fall in love XD

and when Kanzou told Yuko that he stabbed Ryo was like:
K: i stabbed him..
K:because he didn't keep his promise..
*the lines that fit for that atmosphere*
K:hope you don't mind..
y:yea,it's ok..
or when Yuki wanted to stab Yoko but stabbed Kanzou, she was staying there like she was just a witness not the Killer..i was expected her to say "i'm sorry,i wanted to stab your sister..forgive me,next time i'll do better" =)) rofl

At a time like this,on a day like this, the stars falling from the sky are so beautiful. i love this ♥

I really shouldn't watch these kind of things. I was warned about the ending, I didn't listen and then I ended up crying the entire last episode. Don't get me wrong, I really loved this drama. It was so thrilling and touching all the time, and I would gladly recommend this to everyone, even if you are, like me, someone that cries easily. Even if I had wished for a different ending, in the end I'm glad it was like this, stories like these are way more mind-blowing and deep than most of the stuff you find today. Dramas like these, with a turning out that leaves you so shocked and with such a depressing and weird feeling are probably the true treasures out there.

I absolutely love this drama. Seriously, I don't think there'll ever be a drama that can top this for me.
By the end I was sad that even if I decided to rewatch it, it wouldn't be the same as the first time. :/
Maybe I'm a sadist but I wished more writers had the guts to write endings like that. It's depressing, yeah, but it did fit the story and had me weeping really hard.

I agree with Shironiji, I totally saw the twist coming. But, I swear my jaw dropped every episode. Good drama! Keeps you hooked until the end. Not my fav ending though, but it was how it should end, so I can't complain. :)

The twist kinda became obvious at one point but I really didn't mind that. The overall tension and atmosphere were mind-blowing and so was the acting. Too bad they don't make dramas like this one anymore T_T
