Synopsis

Noda Megumi and Chiaki Shinichi are finally studying abroad in Paris. Nodame is overjoyed to be in Europe, although she struggles to adjust to her studies and the French culture. She looks to Chiaki for help, but he's occupied with his conducting and has no time for her, even leaving her behind to go on a world tour. Nodame is devastated and falls into a funk, nearly giving up on piano altogether. As the traveling Chiaki begins to realize how much he wants Nodame around, Nodame finally understands she doesn't need anyone else but herself to excel at music.

The drama was better, but it wasn't bad. The second special episode was better than the first - I felt more connected to the characters, their situations, and their emotions got through more to me.

Anime was better, this was meh.

A very good special, but I still enjoyed the TV series more.
The new supporting characters were good, but not as good as the original ones, which got a very minor role in the SP, as it focus more on Chiaki and Nodame, both individually and as a couple.
I missed Sakura, Saiko, and the Japanese teachers...
Still a very good watch though. I'll watch the theatrical movie soon.

I'm watching the Nodame special now, which is awesome btw, and seeing Nodame crying while Chiaki performs makes me think that Nodame is the type of girl every guy needs, or at least me. She admires him, she comforts him, encourages him, gets his butt in gear if need be, shes playful, she's passionate about him and what he does, and really, I guess Chiaki does the same for Nodame.

Oh and the scene where she's speaking french for the first time out of the book and she says help police he beats me in front of the waiter was HILARIOUS. Also the part where she spends the night in the hotel with him. So funny.

I actually had a hard time finishing this.

The kiss was the most akward thing I've ever watched.

I did not enjoy the drama, but the special was more likeable to me, of course since my main gripe was lack of romance. Still didn't get what I really wanted
a kiss!!
but oh well.
