It's been a while since I watched the original, but I would say definitely give this version a try. I actually came to really like the cast for this new one and there were some really good moments. If you're trying to decide which of the many versions of Hana Kimi to watch, I would recommend this one along with the original Japanese version. Both gave me warm happy feelings. The tw version was much too over the top.

Yeah, this is antoher god adaption one of my favourite manga series. But it's only "good", not a masterpiece as the previeous series.

I couldn't really get along with the "new" Sano and Nakatsu, Mizuki seems to me like a copy of Horikita Maki, I was a bit disappointed. T^T

It's really interesting. Like others are saying, it's different than the first Japanese version. It's almost like watching an entirely different gender bender show expect the characters have the same name. While yes the first Hana Kimi and this one have in things in common almost all of the common factors are what you would see in any other gender bender drama.
I'm really glad I watched it because I actually thought about taking it off my planned list. Personally I didn't felt like I had to watch the next episode right away however I never felt like I had to force myself to watch another episode. It's an enjoyable show.

better ending than the original...I tell you! this is sooo worth your time!
less drama and more laughs!
and DEFINITELY better than the korean version!
the Taiwanese, I just saw few eps and I didnt bother watching it.

but still the original is my top 1 drama of all time.

It really came to me as a shock since I just know about this recently. Seeing as also that there are news/rumors of Koreans doing also a version of this one...
Back to the topic, I haven't, sadly, still read the manga of this epic drama.
Ever since watching the Taiwanese version to J-HK1 until HK2 I've always been fond of Nakatsu's role...ever!
At first, I was trying to compare the J-versions as what I think most of us who have seen it thought at first, really, it will just fade that thought of that.

HK2 was of different storyline from HK1 which gives me the excitement since I don't know what will happen mostly of the story as it progresses.
Though it was said that the series will feature an entirely new cast, I think they didn't. Mayuko Iwasa was still the same Hanayashiki Hibari in the HK1, which I thought was awesome... thinking that they couldn't look for anyone to par her acting to the same role and also even though it was just a few seconds, Nobuo Kyo appeared before Oscar, I unconsciously smiled remembering his crazy acting xDD
In my honest opinion, I prefer Aoi Nakamura's Sano than Oguri Shun's, though I sometimes call Aoi as my Rabbit Sano :D and even Shohei Muira was really up for the role, Ikuta Toma was still my bias but still he gained my second choice. Also most of the boys we really cute, and speaking of cute, I saw Tomoki Okayama again since 2009 xDD

I agree with most of the last comments, this versionis not that bad at all, at fisrt I was trying to compare both version but it didn't work, cause the storylines are different. So in scence they are the same but eich version is one by itself.

The characters are lovely, I missed the liders from v1 at the beggining I was expecting the "Baby" thing jeje but thought the episodes I fell in love with this leaders and all the characters as well.

In general I think is was suprisinly good

Looking at the cast again, I see 10 actors I know due to me watching various other dramas and I like about 8 of the 10 acting...
I shall give this a shot, during my uni semester break in July ~
