Oh yeah, I felt the same a Parasyte. It was pretty over-hyped. I liked it, though, but I didn't think it was anything too stellar.
I really liked Psycho_pass too, but I haven't watched the second season yet since everyone was disappointed in it. I'll watch it eventually...
Since you liked Knights of Sidonia, I'll have to try it again. I watched the first episode awhile back, but never watched more. I'll try it again soon =]

Same here. They're one of the many bands on my wishlist of CD's I'll eventually order online or buy when I go back to Japan. So many CD's... haha.
So, have you been watching anything lately that you'd recommend?

I agree completely! In fact, the same thing drew me to it as well...
Yeah, the anime had more sense of dread than the manga due to the music and atmosphere.
Exactly - all the characters look like real people for once. It makes it feel even more real.
It's sad that anime such as this rarely arises... but it makes sense; so many companies are afraid to do anything too original because so man fans just want more of the same.

The first time I heard the ending theme, I completely froze because it literally scared me... I was watching using headphones. haha.
Have you seen the music video for the full opening?

I know a LOT of people made a big deal about the art style... which is pathetic and shows how superficial a lot of people are. Yes, it does differ from the manga (which is understandable why some people would be bothered by it), but so many people talk about how "ugly" it is. Well, these characters are all rotoscoped from REAL Japanese people.
Besides, the direction, pacing, music, and overall unsettling tension was more than enough to keep me completely hooked. I even bought the soundtrack while I was in Japan.

I'm glad you felt the same =]

I completely agree with your feelings on Aku No Hana. I felt the exact same way. It feels nice to find someone who had the same experience that I had watching it.

Hey! I'm doing a master thesis about Korean culture in Europe, so I wanted to ask you if you could help out with my research and maybe share that with your European friends. I need to get as many European kpop/kdrama/kmovie fans as possible for the research to be good. I prepared a survey - so people just need to contact me by writing me an email to and I'll send them the survey. I hope you'd be able to help me - it's extremely important to me and would mean a lot! Thanks a lot and I hope I'll soon hear from you!!

I thought Love Rain should be shorter but well I'm trying to finally watch the finale but is so dramatic and complicated that for me is torture to watch. I have high hopes but now I don't. I thought the middle part was fun and lovely after that I got board. You're right the same conflict over and over and over again... c'mon is awful.I love marry me, mary for me it was more realistic in differents aspects of the drama and I loved sukkie being so sarcastic and mean as is usual of him in dramas, maybe is cause Im into kinda rock themed dramas.
